PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. – Franklin Energy and AM Conservation Group, the leading demand-side management firm in the utility industry, announced today the appointment of widely respected senior finance executive Eileen Cavanaugh as the company’s new chief financial officer.
In this role, Cavanaugh will drive business strategy to transform processes, realize strategic cost reduction and guide the companies through a period of transition and growth. Bringing over 30 years of experience and an exceptional record of delivering results, she is an inclusive and influential business partner known for building outstanding teams and developing best-in-class finance leaders through clear-sighted leadership and straightforward communication.

Before joining Franklin Energy, Cavanaugh had a remarkable 30-year career with General Electric, most recently as chief financial officer of global operations, where she led finances of the $1.5B global shared services operation of 10,000+ employees across five global centers and 12 regions serving GE businesses in 86 countries. Prior to that, she served in executive positions focused in financial planning and analysis, operations analysis and accounting. Earlier in her career, Cavanaugh rotated through General Electric business units, ranging from industrial systems to GE Power, in the United States and abroad as part of their leadership development program.

Cavanaugh holds an MBA in International Business from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Fairfield University, where she graduated Cum Laude, and is Lean Six Sigma-Green Belt certified. Active in her community, she is a McGivney Community Center Board Member, Special Olympics-Unified Sports Board of Control Member, and mentor for Fairfield University Business School students.
